Business terms
Last updated August 2026
These terms apply to coaches and studios ("you") who run a studio on My Fitness Goals, in addition to the user terms.
1. Your studio & clients
You must be 18 or over to run a studio here. A studio is a paid account that carries responsibility for other people's data, so it isn't open to under-18s.
You're responsible for your clients' data, for having the right to add them, and for the coaching, programming, and advice you deliver through the platform. You are the relationship owner with your clients; we are your software provider.
2. Plans, seats & billing
Paid plans are billed monthly per the seat tier you choose and are handled by our payment processor (Stripe); we never see or store your full card number. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from the billing area: upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated, while downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current cycle. Fees are exclusive of any taxes, which may be added where applicable, and we may change plan pricing with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.
Each plan includes a set number of active client seats, and Solo (our free tier) includes one. You can downgrade or cancel at any time, regardless of how many active clients you have, and you keep your current plan until the end of the period you've paid for. If your active clients exceed the new plan's seat limit when it takes effect, the coach side of your account is limited to resolving that: you can archive clients down to the limit, or upgrade again, and everything unlocks once your roster fits the plan. Your clients' access to their athlete app is not interrupted while you do. Archiving is reversible and doesn't delete their data.
If a renewal payment fails, we'll email you and your account stays active for a short grace period (currently five days from the failed charge) so you can update your card. After that, the account is paused rather than deleted or downgraded. Your data and your clients' data are kept, and full access is restored as soon as a payment succeeds.
Refunds are available within 24 hours of a payment. Contact us to request one. After 24 hours, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
3. Charging your clients
How you collect money from your clients is your choice. The app includes an optional client billing feature: turn it on and your clients pay you by card inside their app, under the extra terms below. Or leave it off and bill them however you like outside the app. Either way the arrangement is entirely between you and your clients: we take no percentage of it, and you remain responsible for delivering what your clients pay you for, and for any taxes on those sales.
The only thing we ever bill you for is your own subscription to My Fitness Goals. Turning on client billing is free.
Client billing, if you turn it on
If we make client billing available and you unlock it, these extra terms apply. Payments from your clients go straight to your own Stripe account, in your name: you set the prices, you are the merchant of record, and you own refunds, disputes, chargebacks, and any taxes on those sales. We are your software provider and never a party to the sale. We never hold your money or your clients' money, and we take no percentage of your payments.
Turning on client billing is free and asked of each studio once. We can switch the client billing feature off for everyone or for a studio that abuses it; recording who paid you stays available either way, and money already collected is yours, in your Stripe account, unaffected by us.
4. Client agreements
You can publish your own coaching agreement or waiver for clients to accept before using the app. That document is yours: you are responsible for its content, legality, and enforceability. We store the text, show it to your clients, and record which version each client accepted and when, but we are not a party to it and nothing about the feature is legal advice. Have your own counsel review anything you rely on.
5. Branding
You may apply your own name, logo, and colors to your studio. You confirm you have the right to use any brand assets you upload and that they don't infringe anyone else's rights.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use the platform to send spam, store unlawful content, or resell access outside your own coaching business without our written agreement.
Only invite clients who are 18 or over. The athlete app is not for under-18s and there is no consent route that changes that. Train younger clients however you like, just not through this platform.
Your clients can add progress photos and send messages, and we don't review any of it before it reaches you. You invited them, so their conduct in your studio is yours to manage: tell us at [email protected] if something unlawful is uploaded and we will remove it and may suspend the account behind it. Progress photos are deleted with the client when you delete them.
7. Availability & liability
We work hard to keep the service available but provide it "as is" without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the prior three months.
8. Termination
Either of us may end this agreement. On termination you can request an export of your studio data within 30 days, after which it may be deleted.
