User terms of service
Last updated August 2026
These terms cover athletes and end users who use the My Fitness Goals athlete app through a coach's studio. By using the app you agree to them.
1. Your account
You must be 18 or over to use My Fitness Goals. There is no version of the app for under-18s and no way for a parent or coach to consent on their behalf. If you are under 18, don't use the app and speak to your coach about training with them another way.
Your coach creates your account using your email. You're responsible for keeping access to that email secure, since you sign in with a one-time code sent to it. Don't share your account or use someone else's.
2. Acceptable use
Use the app for your own training. Don't attempt to disrupt the service, access data that isn't yours, or upload unlawful content in messages, notes, or photos.
We don't review what you upload before it reaches your coach. If something unlawful is reported to us we will remove it and may suspend the account that added it. Report anything of that kind to [email protected].
3. Health disclaimer
My Fitness Goals is a tool for logging training and communicating with your coach. It is not medical advice. Talk to a qualified professional before starting any exercise or nutrition program, and stop if you feel unwell.
4. Your content
Workout logs, weigh-ins, messages, and any progress photos you add are shared with your coach and stored to provide the service. You keep ownership of what you enter; you grant us permission to store and process it to run the app. The built-in exercise library includes entries adapted from the free-exercise-db project (public domain) and from wger.de (CC-BY-SA 4.0); credits are shown in the app alongside those entries.
Progress photos are optional and always yours to skip. The coach who trains you is the only person they are shown to. They are kept until you or your coach delete them, or until the account is deleted, at which point they are removed for good. Only add photos you are happy for your coach to see.
5. Paying your coach
What you pay your coach is set by your coach and is entirely between the two of you. If your coach turns on card payments, you may be asked to pay for your coaching by card inside the app: that payment goes straight to your coach's own Stripe account, your coach is the merchant, and if it is a monthly plan it renews automatically until it is cancelled. We are the software in the middle, never the seller: we take no percentage of what you pay and we are not a party to the sale. Refunds, disputes and billing questions about your coaching go to your coach.
Some coaches bill outside the app instead, and that arrangement is theirs to make with you. Either way, nothing you pay your coach is a payment to My Fitness Goals.
6. Your coach's agreement
Your coach may ask you to accept their own coaching agreement or waiver before using the app. That document is written by your coach and is between you and them: we store and display it and record which version you accepted and when, but we are not a party to it and don't review its content.
7. Termination
You can ask your coach to remove you, or email us, at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; we'll post the new effective date here.
